In June 2021, in collaboration with Yasha Daga for a Nuvocotto competition, we designed Café Juni, a beachfront café in Bali using terracotta jaali blocks. The perforated terracotta façade creates a breathable envelope that filters light and casts dynamic shadows, enhancing climate responsiveness. The design emphasizes material honesty and a tranquil coastal atmosphere, providing a shaded, inviting space while maintaining visual connection to the surrounding landscape.
