OstHaven Sports and Wellness Center is a dynamic destination that integrates sports, wellness, and social interaction within a thoughtfully designed environment. Located on a 100 m × 35 m site north of Schwedler Lake in Frankfurt’s Osthafen district, the center is accessible from Lindleystraße to the north and the riverbank to the south. Its industrial context, shaped by the Osthafen, informs the site’s character and inspired the name “OstHaven,” reflecting its role as a link between the city and the waterfront.

The design draws on Germany’s emphasis on wellbeing, sustainability, and social engagement, offering a harmonious combination of modern and traditional wellness practices. A central core organizes services and circulation, allowing each functional area—sports, wellness, and social spaces—to extend outward with intuitive zoning. South-facing terraces maximize sunlight and provide views of the lake, connecting indoor activities with the natural surroundings and creating a seamless experience for relaxation, exercise, and community interaction.
